7. Third-Party Links

Our site may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their privacy policies or content. We encourage you to review their policies before submitting any personal information.

8. Assessment Responses

When you complete the Where You Are Assessment we process your individual answers to each question, the result generated from them, the date and time you completed it, and the page or campaign that brought you to it.

Two separate things happen with this information, and you control the second one.

Your result is saved to your account so we can show it to you, give you access to the material that corresponds to it, and let you take the assessment again later and compare. This is part of delivering the service you asked for.

Your individual question by question answers are kept for research only if you give us permission at the moment you take the assessment. We use them to study how the questions perform as a group and to improve the instrument. This is optional and unticked by default. If you decline, you still receive your complete result and lose nothing.

Your answers describe how you experience your emotions, your body, your thinking and your relationships. We treat this as sensitive information. It is never sold, never shared with advertisers, never used to target advertising at you, and never visible to other members. Access is limited to the owner of the site and to service providers bound by confidentiality.

If the assessment includes an optional free text field, what you write there may be read by a person for the single purpose of noticing whether someone may need support. We do not reply to free text entries individually. The assessment is not a support channel. If you are in danger or in crisis, contact emergency services in your country.

This assessment is an orientation tool. It is not a diagnosis, not a clinical or psychological evaluation, and not a substitute for therapy or medical care. Its result carries no clinical value.

9. Retreat Reading and Aftercare

If you register for Retreat Reading and Aftercare with a code from a retreat center or referral partner, this section applies in addition to the rest of this policy.

What we use. Your first name, your account email, the center code, when you take the questionnaire (before, at the end of, or after your stay) and your answers.

What we do with it. We prepare a written reading from your answers, the second part of the result you see on the website. Automated tools, including AI, help score your answers, draft the text and lay out the document. Edgar Esparza reviews every reading before it is sent. No decision about you is made by automated means alone, and the reading has no legal or similar effect on you.

Who receives it. You receive your reading by email. With the consent you give in the questionnaire, the same reading goes to the retreat center or referral partner that gave you the code, and they handle it under their own privacy policy. We never sell your reading and never share it with advertisers.

Service providers. To prepare and deliver the reading we use an AI tool, a design tool and an email service, and we give them only what the reading needs. The AI tool is set so your information is not used to train its models.

Sensitive information. Your answers describe how you are doing emotionally, so we treat them and your reading as sensitive. We use them only with the express consent you give in your account when you check the consent box in the questionnaire. For users in the EEA or UK, the legal basis is your explicit consent.

Not a clinical service. The reading is for guidance only. It is not a diagnosis or a medical or psychological assessment, and it does not replace care from the center’s team or a health professional.

How long we keep it. Readings are kept while your Retreat Reading and Aftercare account is active and for 12 months after it ends, and then deleted. For reports and comparisons we use only aggregated, anonymous information.

Withdrawing consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to info@starquestvision.com. From then on we stop preparing readings and stop sending copies to the center. A reading already sent to the center stays with them, and you can ask them directly to delete it.

10. Legal Basis for Processing

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on the following bases.
Performance of a contract, for orders, account access, and saving your assessment result to your account.
Your consent, for keeping your individual assessment answers for research, for marketing emails, and for non essential cookies.
Legal obligation, for tax and invoicing records.
Legitimate interest, for site security and fraud prevention.
You may withdraw consent at any time by writing to info@starquestvision.com. Withdrawal stops future processing and does not affect what was done lawfully before you withdrew.

11. How Long We Keep Your Data

Order and invoicing records are kept for the period required by Mexican tax law.
Account information and your assessment result are kept while your account is active and for twelve months after it becomes inactive.
Individual assessment answers kept for research are held for twenty four months from the date you submit them. After that they are permanently separated from your identity and cannot be linked back to you. Those separated answers may be kept without time limit for aggregate study only.
Retreat readings are kept while your Retreat Reading and Aftercare account is active and for twelve months after it ends.
Marketing contact details are kept until you unsubscribe.

12. Who We Are, and Where Your Data Is Processed

Data controller: Edgar I. Esparza T., Puerto Morelos, Quintana Roo, Mexico. Contact: info@starquestvision.com

Our website and databases are hosted outside the European Economic Area. Mexico is not covered by a European Commission adequacy decision. Where we handle data belonging to users in the EEA or the United Kingdom, we rely on standard contractual clauses with our providers and, for the optional research storage described in section 8, on your explicit consent.

If you are in the EEA or the United Kingdom you may lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority. If you are in Mexico you may contact the Secretaría Anticorrupción y Buen Gobierno.

13. Policy Updates.
